This community service initiative aimed to enhance the understanding and capacity of 34 operational staff at Abdulrachman Saleh Airport, Malang, in facilitating aviation educational tourism. Utilizing a Participatory Action Research approach, the program was conducted through socialization, child-friendly interaction simulations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Data were evaluated using a 4-point scale assessment and qualitative thematic analysis. Quantitative results demonstrated program success, with a total average score of 3.52 (Good category). Attendance achieved the highest score (3.85), while practical simulation scored the lowest (3.47) due to psychological barriers in shifting from a rigid work demeanor to a flexible attitude. In conclusion, the program successfully transformed staff into non-formal educational agents. Program sustainability requires written SOPs to integrate aviation safety protocols with children's tour routes.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Maulana Anifa Silvia, Lady Silk Moonlight, Faoyan Agus Furyanto, Ahmad Musadek, Anton Budiartohttps://e-journal.poltekbangplg.ac.id/index.php/darmabakti/article/view/277Model Safe Qurban: Integrasi Filantropi Kolektif dan Budaya Keselamatan Penerbangan dalam Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang2026-06-14T09:32:21+00:00Anton Abdullahanton@poltekbangplg.ac.idAhmad Haririhariri@poltekbangplg.ac.idMohammad Syukri Pesilettesyukri@poltekbangplg.ac.idSunardi Sunardisunardi@poltekbangplg.ac.idDwi Candra Yuniarcandra@poltekbangplg.ac.idWildan Nugrahawildan.nugraha@poltekbangplg.ac.idSutiyosutiyo@poltekbangplg.ac.idDwi Cahyonodwicahyono@poltekbangplg.ac.idDirestu Amaliadirestu@poltekbangplg.ac.idZusnita Hermalazusnita@poltekbangplg.ac.idVania Nadhifa Azzaravania@poltekbangplg.ac.idFadhilla Nina Rizkyantifadhilla@poltekbangplg.ac.idYudita Nirmala Kartikasariyudita@poltekbangplg.ac.idMinulya Eska Nugrahaminulya@poltekbangplg.ac.idAstri Puspita Kesumaastri@poltekbangplg.ac.id
Qurban is not only a religious ritual with spiritual significance but also an instrument of Islamic philanthropy that strengthens social solidarity and community welfare. At the same time, qurban activities involve various operational hazards that require the implementation of a safety culture. This community service program aimed to implement the Safe Qurban model by integrating collective philanthropy and aviation safety culture into the organization of Qurban 1447 H at Baitul Ilmi Mosque, Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. The program was carried out through several stages, including fundraising through the Shodaqoh Qurban Program, hazard identification, safety planning, qurban implementation, benefit distribution, and program evaluation. The results demonstrated that collective philanthropy successfully broadened community participation in qurban activities through collaborative contributions while fostering social solidarity, empathy, and mutual assistance. The application of safety culture was reflected in hazard identification, risk control, safety communication, clear task allocation, and emergency preparedness throughout the implementation process. The integration of these two approaches generated broader social benefits while simultaneously enhancing safety awareness among all participants. The program resulted in the development of the Safe Qurban model as an innovative community service approach that combines the values of Islamic philanthropy with safety culture practices adapted from the aviation sector. This model has the potential to be replicated in other social and community-based activities involving multiple stakeholders and operational risks.

Keywords: aviation safety; collective philanthropy; community service; qurban; safety culture.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Anton Abdullah, Ahmad Hariri, Mohammad Syukri Pesilette, Sunardi Sunardi, Dwi Candra Yuniar, Wildan Nugraha, Sutiyo, Dwi Cahyono, Direstu Amalia, Zusnita Hermala, Vania Nadhifa Azzara, Fadhilla Nina Rizkyanti, Yudita Nirmala Kartikasari, Minulya Eska Nugraha, Astri Puspita Kesumahttps://e-journal.poltekbangplg.ac.id/index.php/darmabakti/article/view/278Edukasi Penggunaan Air Bersih dalam Mendukung Kesehatan Lingkungan Masyarakat di Kelurahan Mariana Kabupaten Banyuasin I2026-07-24T01:30:52+00:00Anggi Nidya Sariangginidya@yahoo.comAndi Heriusangginindya@polsri.ac.idKiki Rizky Amaliaangginindya@polsri.ac.idRizky Franchitikaangginindya@polsri.ac.idArif Roziqinangginindya@polsri.ac.idRahmat Hakikiangginindya@polsri.ac.id
This community service activity was carried out with the aim of increasing public awareness in Kelurahan Mariana regarding the importance of using clean water. Continuous competency development of ACR personnel is essential to ensure readiness to address developments in aviation technology, the complexity of airport operations, and the demands of safety regulations. This community service activity took the form of ACR Senior Training, organized by the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic for 19 ACR personnel from 18 Airport Operational Units (UPBU). The training used a Competency-Based Training (CBT) approach, consisting of 29 learning materials, totalling 102 hours of theory and 98 hours of practical training. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, practical assessments, and participant satisfaction surveys. The results showed an increase in participant competency, as evidenced by an average score of 85 in the pre-test to 96 in the post-test, a 12.94% increase. Furthermore, participant satisfaction with the training reached 95%. These results demonstrate that the training improved participants' knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes in carrying out PKP-PK operational tasks. This activity positively contributed to strengthening the competence of airport human resources and supported increased preparedness in handling emergencies to achieve sustainable aviation safety
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Wildan Nugraha, Yeti Komalasari, Direstu Amalia, Fadhilla Nina Rizkyanti, Arif Triyanto
